I never saw it, but it inspired the names of the best wrestling characters of all time: the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

It also featured Andre the Giant as Bigfoot, so there's a wrestling bonus tie-in.

i knew about stone cold but ted dibiase lost me, was there a ted in the show?

No, but I think his nickname "The Million Dollar Man" was lifted from the show.

Steve Austin didn't want the name because he was a fan of the show back in the day and didn't want to be seen as a copycat. He was then given 15 minutes to come up with an alternative and couldn't think of any.
