You have an impromptu date with Samus Aran after bumping into her while she is hunting the last in a string of bounties. The date goes really well. After a lovely evening you think you might be in there when suddenly you happen to meet your best friend who upon seeing Samus (she didn't notice your best friend) jumps into a dumpster to hide.

Then you realize to your horror that the final bounty she was here to collect is on your best friend.

If you stay loyal to your best friend then Samus will assume her scan visor is wrong, he's done a runner and she'll continue her search on other planets. Meaning you'll likely never see her again as she dons a wild goose case.

If you tell her that your best friend is hiding in the dumpster, she'll take your best friend to the weird alien bird people to collect the bounty but then she'll be free to come back and persue the relationship in her new found free time. And your new found lack of a best friend.
