Just saw some pics of the guy on the run from that dead girl story and dude has a massive receding hair line and already balding at 23. Thought it was more of a late 20's maybe mid 30's kinda thing not that young.

Yeah, I thought it was a middle aged thing until I met a 20 year old that was already balding. It made him look way older than he was. I had to hide my shock when I heard his age lol.

I worked with a 22 year old that had almost entirely gone bald when I was 19. His hat fell off one day, felt kinda bad that he had such fate.

My dad was bald by 17 I think. Lucky I missed that gene.

earlier than that. Other men, like myself, are unable to grow a proper beard. Meanwhile, I have hair so thick I have to get it cut with thinning scissors so its able to be cut.

I knew a guy who was 18 but had fully receded hair.

i started losing mine quickly at like 19. thank fuck i'm brown so no one really bats an eye at me keeping a shaved head. can't imagine what it's like as a skinny white or asian dude.

i knew a could guys that had full horseshoes in their early 20s. About half my friends rock the look now in our 30s/40s. Most sensible ones shave their head, but a few dgaf.

This. Heck, some I think it's called alopecia patients, they're just bald their whole life. Maybe they have some hair in early childhood and that's that.

For that matter, my maternal grandmother had grey turning white hair in her 20s. Luckily it's not something that got passed down to me, but it's definitely one of those things some have to deal with decades before their peers.

My dad was nearly fully bald on top at 21 in his wedding pictures. My brother went bald as well by his mid 20s. Somehow I still have a thick head of hair.

One of my best friends started balding at 18. When he was 20, all the hair on top of his head was gone.
It's ok, he looks like Jason Statham.

The hair on my temples started graying at 17. At 25 it was thinning and now at 29 I just shave it off. There's a spot on my head where it's so thin, if a light shines on it you can clearly see the scalp.

It's over for me. I accept it.

I went to HS with a guy kind of like that. Hair had receded so far back that at 17 he could pass for mid 20s.

I met this dude again at a job when we were early 20s and he looked like Jason Alexander. Same body type and everything. He didn't shave his head or wear a hat so I guess he was cool with it.

It's all genetics and it can be really inconsistent.

I knew someone in college (she's a transgender woman and she hadn't transitioned at that point, but I'm still going to use she/her) who had a full, thick head of hair with no receding hairline at all. Her younger brother? Balding by 20. Last I saw him, dude was rocking the friar tuck.

The girl transitioned around 30, but even prior to that, she never had any balding as far as I could tell. No combover. No receding hairline. Also, fun fact, transition can apparently combat some effects of MPB.

I have another friend (cis dude) who's almost 40. No balding. No receding. His hair doesn't even look like it's thin. Flip side, I had a friend who had long emo hair in high school and went bald by the time I met him in college.

So, yeah... look at your family history, but keep in mind that you don't know which branch you might take after.

I started losing it at like 18/19. By the time I graduated from college it was a lost cause. Now, at 30, I shave my head and it's the best thing ever. I'm brown, so I actually look comparatively youthful and ima look like this for a long time (hopefully).
