It's all throughout the arc, Killua pouting as Gon increasingly focuses single-mindedly on Kite and revenge until the climax of Gon blowing himself up smashing Pitou's corpse as Killua watches him kill himself

When they split up it's very clear how much is being left unsaid between them

got it. the last short season is so out of place and strange that I don't remember most of it. maybe it's a togashi thing where he writes himself into a corner, same thing happened in yyh.
