Seems very likely that the brother did it. The mother's handwriting was on the note, and an expert said you can't fake that.

Yea there a documentary not too long ago that basically outright concluded it was her brother that killed her and the parents covered for him.

Then the brother sued them for libel or something

As another poster mentioned, there is a great special on this case a few years back that went over all possible theories. Either dispelling them or seeing them as credible. They went over all the evidence, explaining why it was or was not possible which each theory.

And yes, the conclusion was that the brother ended up striking JonBenet in the head and the parents covered it up. They go into great detail on each piece of evidence and after watching it I'm pretty convinced that is indeed what happened.

If you're interested in the case, I'd highly recommend you watch it.
