be prepared to answer questions like:

How did you handle a challenge at work
How do you make decisions
Can you think of a time you made a mistake at work and what you did to make it right
How do you handle difficult customers
What interested you in this position
What are some reasons you think youre a good fit for this position

if youre looking at these and dont have an answer, make one up.

Ask them what date theyre looking to make a decision by
What opportunities there are for advancement
What does an average work day look like for this position

Answer questions using the STAR technique.

Situation: what was the situation
Task: what task did you have to do
Action: what action did you take
Result: what was the result

How do you feel when you work under pressure?

I believe I can be cool under pressure because I have a lot of experience in working under those conditions. At my last job, I had to handle a rush of customers by myself a couple times because we had some staffing issues so that was a big step. One specific time, I got through the entire lunch rush without help. Yeah it took a little longer than usual, but all the customers left happy and my manager gave my employee of the week because of it.

Also even if you have an answer prepped, take a second to breathe, think about the question, then answer. It shows that youre at least thinking of an answer and that you dont have answers sitting there.

I usually just try and set the tone as a relaxed conversation with the other person. You answer best when you're relaxed. Being competent at the job is important of course but someone pleasant to be around is also important. Show off your personality a little bit, try to connect with the other person.

Ask them if they stand with Donald Trump.

this is actually a good one to start off with. If they say yes you know you can save some time and leave

We get it, you dont get attention unless you gargle Trumps balls in your mouth. Now shut the fuck up while people give actual advice.

Same here but even worse. Been out for same amount of time but my last 2 jobs I already either had connections or was a straight up nepotism hire, so last proper interview was probably close to 20 years ago. When I am looking, I am just going to wing everything, read the situation and react.
