it's a door.
A door that is shoulder height with the passengers getting on because it's over a luggage compartment. Again, it's not normally used for passengers to disembark.

  1. it's still a door
  2. it's a greyhound bus, they're not for public transportation, they're akin to school busses.
  3. school busses also have more than one door.

It doesn't matter how many doors it physically has. Only the one door is used for passengers to enter or leave. So if people are both entering and exiting one of them will have to get out of the way of the other.

Whether it is considered public transportation or not is beside the point.

In many US cities, many of the buses are designed so that the middle of the bus door, or rear door, is used to exit and the front door is used for entry only so entering while paying and exiting is facilitated quickly.

Attempting to leave via the front door is frowned upon.

I'm beginning to feel like I'm the only person who has seen a bus to know how many doors they have.

A bus. The middle area is the luggage compartment. Only one way on, one way off.

That's a coach bus. Different from regular passengers buses. I would actually know about this since I literally worked at public transportation bus station... Just because you've only seen one type of bus doesn't mean we're wrong. Public transportation buses are very different for many reasons. The door is one, but coach buses also have luggage compartments underneath, and bathrooms on board. They are different from public transportation buses... But I'll get you a couple of pics...

Heres a few. These are public transportation buses. Different than coach buses. These are the buses Clench was talking about. I even circled the doors for you Those are the doors you're suppose to leave out of. And like Lok said, they are used for wheelchair access... But also for people exiting...

That's how public transport buses are designed... We would get many new buses to look at, and they were all built with that middle door. And all the many different buses of the training video were built like that. Because that's how public buses work... School buses and coach buses are built different because they are used for different things other than normal public transport...

No. That's literally the point because those are the kinds of buses Clench was talking about... It was pretty obvious based on what he was saying...

Public Transportation Definition
Buses, trains, subways, and other forms of transportation that charge set fares, run on fixed routes, and are available to the public.

That also describes how the coach buses are being used.

That wasn't clear from the poll option.

Coach buses are different. They can be used for public transportation. But are also used for private, as well (which Clench mentioned From the poll, it was clear what kind of buses he was talking about Especially since people arent constantly getting on while others are getting off at the same time. Most coaches that are used by the public have set stops. And people are usually getting all on or all off at the same time, rather than at many different times, like he was describing If anything, what youre saying is a stretch And you seem to know that, but wanted to still argue with everyone

False. It was 100% clear. You seemed to be the only one who didnt understand And dragged on with it Even people at my job who dont ride public transit buses understood what he was asking

False. It was 100% clear.
I've never seen the type of bus that's necessary for the option to make sense. The poll option didn't specify a type of bus. It's 100% clear if you already have that information, however that information was not included in the poll option. That's why I say it wasn't clear from the poll option.

Yeah. I hate it when anyone is in my way at the store

Not really. Coaches are normally used as private. You can technically use any vehicle as public transportation, including personal vehicles. But coaches are normally used for private transportation. Like private companies and stuff

Just because youve never seen it doesnt.mr mean much. Most buses stations for public transport use those buses. Those are pretty much the only one they sell these days. As I worked at a bus station for two years, Ive seen the site they use to order buses. And most, if not all the buses, had a front and middle door. And in all the training and safety videos I was force to watch, they all had two doors, as well Even looking up buses or public transport online have me those buses, which have two doors. Those are more common than buses with one door. Especially these days And while the poll doesnt specify a specific type of bus, context clues can be used here:

- most of the things he mentioned seem to be common occurrences. So a regular transit bus makes more sense.
- Not to mention, customers getting on and off on a bus is a problem with transit buses, where its not as much a problem with coaches As much
- And while many coaches have multiple doors, coaches are more likely to use only the front door most of the time.
- And as a bonus clue, if youve been in a few of Clenchs other topics, he has mentioned public transportation, such as public buses, before

Basically, chances were he was talking about a regular transit bus So, it was clear before he posted any extra info. You seemed to be the only one who didnt know buses had two, which would have been easy to look up. And you could have when you were looking up that other bus picture that you tried tonuse to prove you me point So, based on context clues, it was pretty obvious.
