Why do you like bad games?

I like final fantasy and mmos but yeah this game is trash, can't believe they have the audacity to charge a monthly fee for this shit when there are better mmos that don't.

Yeah, even on the full version I dunno how people make so much money. I'm only at 400k, even with trying to sell stuff in the market.

I understand there's the daily roulette stuff, but that always calls for Healers or Tanks, and I don't really want to play as those.

Usually gathering the timed nodes will get you decent income. Some leves give solid gil, like right now the coffee biscuit leve in Shadowbringers nets you roughly 700k a week.

As for roulettes, you get a nice little chunk of gil doing them. The extra gil and experience from adventurer in need isnt much so do them as whatever class you want. It still adds up.

Almost finished with post-Shadowbringers MSQ myself, the plot definitely starts picking up in the post-ARR stuff.

just finished 5.55 and now trying to clear all the side quests with a new job, its a fun game, going to form a group for endwalker to clear the high end raids, never commited to that before, should be fun

I kinda leveled way over the MSQ, and now I'm getting all these skills that I can't use or missing other skills because I'm not in HW yet >_>
Should I stop leveling this class and catch up with another class or just power through and acquire all these skills at once later <_<
I'm a Bard btw

You can do either, its entirely up to you on your own playstyle to be honest. Although I'd say to level an alternate class, like a tank or healer to get a feel of other roles and to avoid big queues if you ever want to skip the long waiting times.

As much as people like highlighting the weird parts of the community, it's no where near as widespread as people make it out to be.

Seriously, I've played since 2013-2014 and I can count on one hand how many times I've seen that stuff in public chat.

It definitely is there, but far less prevalent than people think. The only reason why streamers tend to experience that stuff is because everyone flocks to them.

Hmm, I really wanted to be Dancer. Like that was a big reason I got the game. But I really ended up enjoying bard on my way there.

No need to worry. I know the idea is stressful, but you're probably thinking about end-game raids where yes, it can become extremely stressful if you don't know what you're doing.

But the early dungeons are a breeze and you rarely have to even think about the stress since its so low level. By the time you get to mid dungeons, you would be comfortable enough to know what you're doing. And realize that you can handle the team relying on you because of your familiarity of the class.

Again, a lot of the stress comes from the unknown (Not knowing what or how the class is going to play like).

I can barely target enemies as it is.
I'm terrified of healing the wrong guy.
But you're right, no point fretting if I'm just gonna be doing the MSQ with it.
Hell, might just switch to Bard for required dungeons since I don't much mind waiting for dungeons.

You click on the party list to heal people. The majority of the time you'll only be healing the tank anyway. And to you and anyone healing please please please please please use your dps abilities and don't spam party heals when they aren't needed.

Ugh, this reminds me that I have to resub before EW comes out to do some gear catchup. Least the SHB Alliance Raids are all easy af and people are probably still obsessed with Nier glam so queue times shouldn't be obnoxious. Might even get another Relic weapon or two. But ya the addiction wears off trust.

I keep trying to get into this but leveling to 80 in anything attack based while not getting distracting crafting stuff is hard.

There's way too much to do and its so hard to just do the story and so much story to do to catch up.

Take your tme. so many people try to 'catch up' when that's the opposite of what you should do. Naoki Yoshida even stated this himself.

Play at your own pace and enjoy the story and world.

I've been trying to go through ARR as fast as I can, but I'm still doing all the side quests that I want. I'm just playing enough that my pace is finishing the game rather quickly lol

Uhh I do afk a lot, but I don't turn the game on just to afk. I started around early 2018 I think and have only taken a few months off.

when you get to SHB you essentially have a god tier RPG story, makes it easy to quest

I have really really enjoyed playing ff14 but I can't justify paying for the subscription because I put too much time into Apex Legends and I feel like I'd be wasting money.

tbf, you're telling someone to basically sit through three seasons of a show because season 4 is really good. If they're not having fun, telling them to get through two expansions isn't really a good way to convince them.

Granted, I've loved questing and story both since ARR, so I can't relate to what he's saying at all, but...

Kind of disagree, sometimes the payoff from time investment is worth. Its called delayed gratification.

well what I mean is that the story prior to SHB is alright, it's just not great, SHB is amazing, it's still an okay RPG story from ARR to the end of stormblood, a bit more clich, the game is more than just the story though which would make it a bit different than comparing it to a tv show

Shadowbringers is good but to call it god tier is crazy.
