I tried the trial, and now two months later I own every expansion and the collectors edition content and I've put like 90 hours into the game now oh god help me

You better start saving up Gold Saucer coins then, cuz you have to buy it, unfortunately. It costs 200,000.

I just got it yesterday after grinding minigames for a few hours lol

I wish I could share my mgp with people. I have over 7 mil and I haven't bothered doing much weekly stuff so I don't get any more.

200,000 is really easy though in 2-3 weeks if you do the challenge log, cactpots, and fashion report. Chocobo racing is great if you are willing to invest in it.

Huh. You'd think you'd be able. I recall that it's possible to send gil to others, right?

Though, I guess you might be able to buy the car voucher and then mail that to someone.

Uh... I think I'm getting close to finishing ARR. It's at least starting to feel like it's ramping up. I've been playing Black Mage. I haven't tried fishing yet.

I already have 300K Gold Saucer coins. I got lucky on one of the weekly lottos and had two digits match. <_<

Then a lot of the daily scratch off things, and the fashion show. It's kinda amazing how quickly that stuff stacks up.

Nice. Love that you love ARR too. Black mage is pretty much the only job I can't at least competently play, I've never invested in learning it. Probably smart on fishing, I love it but it's a pretty overwhelming task at first and probably not worth putting aside MSQ for atm unless you really get hooked (hehe) on it. I didn't even like it at first, then I got addicted.

Also do hunts, best and most full of drama part of the game.

I'm planning on branching out a bit more once I finish the ARR story. I have yet to really do any of the crafting classes.

Crafting and Gathering is super addicting once you get into it. And they're real easy to level up compared to the combat classes.

I've kind of hit a progress wall. I'm maybe halfway through stormblood and I just have no desire to keep pushing. Haven't done any real quests in like 2 months. Just log on and do triple triad and play at the golden saucer.

the free trial lasts through the first expansion, which is like 100+ hours of content. you don't need to pay anything until that point.

not time based afaik, should just be up to Heavensward. there are like a small amount of limitations, i don't remember them all of the top of my head but i think it includes not being able to use the auction house or joining guilds. overall not very impactful and definitely not noticeable if you're just trying to play the story.

I'm still paying $13 per month. Depends which payment structure you use.

And yeah with the free trial I think you can't use the market board or join party finders which is inconvenient sometimes, but doesn't really limit what you can do. Can always have someone else make a party or buy something for you if you really need.

Is this the same one or no? It says it includes A Realm Reborn and the first expansion Heavensward.

Does this game's story end, or is the story still ongoing through the expansions?

And yeah, the story's still going on - the next expansion is coming out later this year. No clue if it's going to be the last one or not, though.

Endwalker isn't the last expansion. It's just going to end the current big story arch that's been going on since ARR.

You can't trade anything with anyone in the Free Trial, nor send them letters, there's basically no way to transfer any items in or out of a Free Trial from or to another player.

Ah okay thanks for clarifying. Still, it's a great deal to just burn through the story and not an issue if you are self sufficient for materials. Really limits your ability to make money though, which again, isn't a big deal that early in the game.

Yeah, even on the full version I dunno how people make so much money. I'm only at 400k, even with trying to sell stuff in the market.

I understand there's the daily roulette stuff, but that always calls for Healers or Tanks, and I don't really want to play as those.

There are plenty of ways, but my go tos are crafting current food, pots, and gear, or selling crafting mats and materia. Market is a bit saturated now, but everyone needs food and pots. Also selling small stuff all the time adds up over time.
