definitely worth trying if you're getting it through gamepass. i had a blast on my first run through the campaign, but ran out of steam to do a second with the other character.

Definition of missed potential, really. The combat is a ton of fun, the soundtrack is great, and the story is solid.
But every area is one long hallway with zero reason to do anything other than go from A to B. Sidequests are pointless. The characters are unremarkable. It'll be a great gamepass title. I do regret paying $60 for it. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Decent gameplay, story is a mess...
If you pick the male protag he's a clueless derp throughout and at the end you're left thinking, "Okay, so three-quarters of the game could have been avoided if the female protag set her stubborness aside and took five minutes to properly explain the situation." If you pick the female protag the story dials up to eleven immediately and there's just nothing more beyond for the rest of the game. --- "I'd rather betray the world than let the world betray me." -Cao Cao ... Gameplay is solid for most of the game, but never pushes you to adapt or learn anything different.
Story is good until the midway point, when they have a new big reveal every chapter, and never delve into any of them. It's like they had 5story ideas they wanted to do, and instead of picking, jammed them all together for a messy, conclude nothing tale. Characters are very meh, personality wise. Tons of missed potential in every aspect of the game. Worth playing through once for free though. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
