It's really easy to platinum, if you're into that. I personally love the Prototype series and think 2 was better all around. I think more people connect with the protag from 1. I liked the 2nd better. Neither are super deep characters.

I played the original on 360, I got to a mission where you had to mindmeld with a helicopter pilot and fly somewhere and the mission wouldn't let me advance so I quit.

Came back to the game on PC... beat the game, didn't really feel too satisfying.

Have hesitated starting the second game since it sounds like everyone hates the story.

the only reason to play the second game is because you like the gameplay in the first. if you didn't find it fun then just skip it.

maybe. I enjoyed the first one a lot more, though. maybe cause it was more novel when it came out and by the time 2 rolled around it was something familiar

2 is better imo. The story is bad in both games, but 2 feels really good to play.

Trash trash trash plot.

Gameplay is worse, they removed armor in favor of the shield and didn't even buff the shield enough to compensate, the new abilities aren't even that great.

City is divided into 3 sections: not very infected, moderately infected, fully infected. You gotta take a helicopter cutscene between each and have a proper disguise too, no fast travel.

Plot makes absolutely no sense. It's boring as sin. They replace the interesting Alex Mercer with generic James Heller and his generic daughter. If that wasn't enough, they ruin Mercer's character entirely in a way that isn't even explained in game.

It's a shit sequel to a great game. Even the challenge mode shit is godawful and boring.

I trust your opinion on video games usually. I think 2 is $2 more l, which I don't care about, but I know if I play 2 then I won't play 1 again.

I also don't really care about a story unless one is dramatically better. Doesn't seem like a story heavy game
