I got the itch for a diablo game but don't wanna buy d2. I have both games already but didn't make it far.

Bump. I guess what I'm looking for is the one with the best combination of fun progress and endgame fun. One thing I didn't like about PoE was the resident evil Tetris inventory management

Both kinda have that
PoE has this leage reset at the end of the month TL2 without mods, no idea how it is if there is an endgame exactly but you can rerun maps over and over ... Copied to Clipboard!

Grim Dawn is the best if you have access to that. Between those two id say POE, personally.

poe is still really good, it's definitely in a decline right now. but i haven't played torchlight, so i can't really answer your question beyond that.
as for poe's inventory management, eventually you accept that you're just not supposed to pick up very much, and much of what you do can be dropped immediately after the wisdom scroll. --- Boom! Yes, it's season. And yes, it's league.
Current one is finishing on the 19th of this month. I would say TL2 is a better game to start with. PoE is pretty deep in mechanics compared to TL2 ... Copied to Clipboard!

Torchlight 2 is better as a casual game that still has some depth and a fun campaign to play through.
Path of Exile is better if you don't care at all about story and just want to rush to endgame for that grind. --- New World: Herzog Erislieb (Karpathenburg/US East) | RS3: UltimaSuende https://letterboxd.com/BMovieBro/ ... Copied to Clipboard!

every class in poe is good. the real power is in which skill (or two) you use to kill, and then picking a class that can maximize its strengths.

that's mostly a playstyle question, and my answer probably doesn't apply to you (I haven't played a duelist in probably 7 years)
my best suggestion would be to search for duelist starter builds/skills and see if any catch your interest. or even just play through blind trying out the stuff that they throw at you for free for completing quests. they recently made Act 1 a bit harder, and are expected to do the same for Act 2 and maybe 3 in the patch about a month from now, but it's definitely doable just playing around with what you find. you can always just scrub your character and reuse the points. it can be a little expensive if you wait to do it after 50-70 points, but it is an option. --- Boom!
