Peeling beets. All the same problems as peeling potatoes, but more slippery and a million times messier.

Though none of that compares to prepping buttercup squash. That's actually dangerous, given the amount of force involved in cutting it open.

Therein lies the reason peeling is awful. It is typically unnecessary, but these potatoes had significant green development, which should be removed before eating.
