My Samsung Galaxy Buds Live were like that. They were OK when I got them (though the noise cancellation was utter crap), then they pushed out a firmware update and they became literally unusable unless my phone was literally directly in front of my face (though the noise cancellation got a bit better!). A lot of people complained about this, but Samsung never really fixed the problem.

Luckily I'd only paid like $20 for them because I got them with my Note 20, and I was able to trade them in for $70 off a set of Buds Pro, which have been awesome.

I had that issue for awhile with mine, and then it was fixed shortly after
Im using the buds pro now, no issues, other then the noise canceling, but that is to be expected for buds.

Is it with your phone? Your PC? I have this plugged through a 10ft usb cable located in a central location in the house I live in, works great. Although I should really just install Wifi 6/Bluetooth 5.0 in my PC.

https://www.amazon.ca/Avantree-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Headphones-Broadcast/dp/B07W5DDZQN

a) a lot of bluetooth transmitters are only 4.0, 5.0 or above is much better.

b) stuff in the way is not going to help at all. I find with 4.0 one wall will probably start to fuck with you, whereas with 5.0 I can be in the basement and it works fine (I have the Avantree dongle literally outside under the eaves).

Bluetooth is named for Harald "Bluetooth" Gormsson, King of Denmark and Norway. It is believed his nickname came from a conspicuous bad tooth which appeared blue-black. The Bluetooth logo is a bindrune consisting of the initials H B. Bluetooth was supposed to unite devices in the same way that Harold Bluetooth united the tribes of Denmark into a single kingdom.
