I seem to recall Cloud's Reveal Trailer starting with the FF7 Opening theme and that was not in Smash 4.

It's funny because there were very, very few posts during the actual reveal itself.

There are definitely reveals that had a lot more rapid fire explosive reactions here, though to be fair those are typically in specific Nintendo Direct topics.

Guys this really is the end.

As I watch some reactions and see people react to the "everything comes full circle" approach it took when the Inkling watches the logo appear, I think about where I was in my life when we first saw that trailer and how much I've gone through since then.

I think about how fucking excited I was with every single new reveal since June 2013, even if I didn't particularly love the character that was being revealed. Each one was just like magic.

Shit, don't even get me started on the Brawl Dojo days. I checked that thing religiously. That was by far the most hyped I'd ever been for a game and even among other Smash games it will almost certainly never be replicated.

Man, it's been a ride, guys.

Smash Kart just makes me sad. Like imagine if Street Fighter ended and all the characters had to join Street Racer. That reminds me of The Hex, come to think of it.

Mario Kart already has like a 99% attach rate, they dont need to combine it with Smash Bros

theyll just give the series some time off and then bring it back with some big gameplay changes

or they can turn it into a battle Royale somehow

I mean, they did already add Link and Inkling. Wouldn't hurt to Smashify a few more of the Mario sports titles. Remember when they added Koopa Troopa to Mario Golf the other week and the internet responded with a resounding wet shrug? Imagine if that had been Kirby or Samus or something.

I'll just post here what I just wrote there:

Sakurai changed the game forever. In a world of far too many soulless and lifeless marketing campaigns, pay-to-win nonsense and profits above artistic vision, Sakurai's passion and dedication to the fans is simply unparalleled. Every trailer is packed with so much love and affection and the most minute of details that of course pours over into the actual final characters themselves. It's utterly absurd how much goes into each of these characters and each of these reveals. Like, Sakurai very well may have never remotely cared about Kingdom Hearts, but the fans have been begging for Sora? Well, gotta play the entire series now. And you know this man actually played all of them just to put this one character in this one game.

Truly a legend that this world is not worthy of.

Picking up on what we were getting at, Sakurai explained that the development team wasnt waiting to pull something out of Pokmon X and Pokmon Ythere was an open slot for a Pokmon, and the team began discussing who to put in it. Eventually, after a conversation among the various staff, they settled upon Greninja.

All the reference material they had for Greninja were drawings at that point, Sakurai revealed. Upon obtaining the explanation for Greninjapresumably from Game FreakSakurai went home that same day with the reference material and stayed up until midnight to do the motion capture for the character.

Well I spent a good chunk of yesterday watching reaction videos and compilations of reaction videos to Sora's reveal and they warm my heart.

I've skipped the second fighter pass DLC so far but I guess I might as well get it when Sora arrives.
