I went looking for it in my local game shop and couldn't find it.
No wonder... The Japanese title is completely different.

Heh. Perhaps a bit over-niche, but I've been feeling nostalgic for it. Yes, the pictures are in the correct order.

Best: Eschebone. There's a moderately difficult dual boss at the end of it, and the screenshot above? That toothy worm? That itself is most of the stage, fighting inside the thing while orchestral creepy music swells and falls. At the time, the bait and switch of "standard lava level when your fireproof character is elsewhere" hitting you with it was sufficiently cool.

Worst: Cerulean. It's just enemy spam: the world. But then enemy spam in a small cave. Then an open blue-tinted desert, and you're done. Nothing else happens but shooting and maybe a second pass if you miss all the Tribals.

Q1: Castlevania: LoD, about two years ago.
Q2: This! It bridged the gap between egregious collectathon (DK64) and mixing of action/platforming (Conker). Perfect Dark is pretty close to second favorite, though.

Best: Tawfret
- Has such a good, horror atmosphere, some great spikes in difficulty, varied level design, and such good loredumps. No other world sticks out nearly as much.

Worst: Cerulean
- Watched a Let's Play up until Vela got out onto the endless blue plain and instantly grimaced in remembrance. I don't even need to continue (unless to maybe see Lupus' worlds and decide if something was better than Tawfret).

Q1. When was the last time you played a Nintendo 64 and what game was it?
- F-Zero X using the Wii is a casual fun play every now and again. Last time I broke out the console itself... Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage. Still works, still a guilty pleasure gane.

Q2. What was your favourite game by Rare?
- Perfect Dark. No question.

Worst: I guess Cerulean. I don't even dislike it, but they could've done a lot with that huge open area and didn't

Hard choice for best, there's a lot of good choices here. Had to go with LUPUS level though. Freaking love that Boss fight at the end too. Challenging in all the right ways.

Cerulean with that big nothing in the middle is a bit of an oof. Could have had a bunch of underground passages and such. That might have been fun.

I opted to not put the smaller ones in, 'cuz some of them are literally just filler. This, unfortunately, means I also cut Asteroid, when I probably shouldn'tve.

Goldwood goes up, because those side paths are brutal in the right ways, when it was resoundingly "meh" for being a starter level at first.
S.S. Anubis goes down for the gigantic jetpack-only area teaching me anxiety as a teenager
Tawfret goes down because either the Castle or the Bridge was frustrating

Sekhmet is mostly forgettable beyond one lava-filled room for me.
Cerulean is just bad filler
Ichor goes way up (but doesn't beat Eschebone) because of the Big Bug Club and a nice challenge

Spawnship I more remember getting frustrated falling into the shallow water section than anything else.
Rith Essa is amaaaaazing and was going to be my second "best" pick if I had to, and also is my favorite music in the game.
Eschebone, though. Mmf.

I was playing Star Wars Pod Racer, F-Zero and Mario Kart the other night.

Favourite Rare game... Donkey Kong Country.
