Last year she was posting anti vaxx material on social media, got called out and stopped.

Seems like she continued on the filming set of Black Panther 2. In the comics her character took on thr black panther mantle

I agree but Shuri has thr source material backing her as the next black panther.

I fear after this movie, the black panther side will be pushed into the background. More side appearances than main movies.

I was against it at first but I think recast Tchalla is the way to go, would love to see him marry storm

Lupita is my first choice as well, followed by Winston Duke. Even without this anti-vaxx bullshit, Shuri is the wrong character to step into the lead role; her character walks that middle line where she's too irreverent to be taken seriously as the stern hero, but not funny enough to be a Star-Lord type.

Honestly, I'd be fine with either Lupita or Winston Duke taking on the mantle.

I didn't feel like Shuri was ready for it anyway. She doesn't feel like a character that can carry a whole movie. I like her, but there's really not much to her.

I'd like to give anti vaxxers a chance. There's some that are really far out there, while others are just on the fence hesitant and just not knowledgeable and/or trusting of the science test backs up. I work in biopharma so pretty much everyone is educated about this and knows it's important. I don't expect everyone to have my mindset, like my non science major friends + those that haven't had as much education.

If they can't find convince her with science to take the vaccine, only other option is if she took covid tests weekly and mask up. But then everyone would have to take tests weekly, including vaccinated

Dude is such a good actor too. If not for him and Chadwick, I don't think the movie would have been good at all. Most of the movie was built on those two being so good. Sure there were good actors, but when you have good actors with generally pretty minor roles(Danai, Winston, Serkis, Lupita etc) they don't really do much.

And Shuri was easily the worst of the bunch in terms of actors, and her character wasn't even executed all that well. Just LMAO SMART GIRL MEMES FUNNY.

Since we're delving into alternate universes, I can't see any reason to not bring in a Killmonger who isn't a complete PoS, unless that what if spoiler above already does that lol.

I feel like this multiverse idea falls apart once thought is put into it. I know we don't want Leticia Wright but this aint it either. Black Panther was the most successful non avengers comic book movie of all time, more so than any spiderman, iron man, xmen movie.

Good luck convincing those people about the multiverse. Dr strange and the multiverse of madness dreams of being succesful as black panther. It also kind of shits on the race of wakanda

You're being very narrow minded, and also ignoring the direction the MCU is already going in(multiverse stuff is now in the MCU canon).

Infinity stones were a big part of the last few phases but aside from the tesseract never invaded iron man/captain america movies. The mystical side of the mcu won't fit in every story

Yes multiverse is a thing but it isn't a solution for everything.

You do know BP is very heavy on the mystical aspects, right? Given Bast, the Ancestral Plane, the herb, the shamans, etc.

And the Infinity Stones have little to do with the multiverse.
