Current Events > Wake up this morning, girlfriend's car isn't in the driveway

I frantically wake her up and tell her thinking it may have been stolen, and she goes, "Oh it must have been repossessed. I haven't made a payment in 6 months."

She says this very nonchalantly, rolls over and goes back to sleep. I ask her how she plans on getting to work today, she's just like, "Meh, I'll figure something out."

How the hell ........ on one hand I'd sell my soul to give zero shits about anything like this, but on the other...now you don't have a car. o.O

Maybe it's in the shop and she's screwing with me? I mean, that's categorically something she would do.

Reminds me of my gf, rent was due at the beginning of the month. I paid my portion, then a few days later I get an email saying we still owe half plus a late fee. I call her, and she says "oh, yeah, i was paying it online and my phone died halfway through before the confirmation, but I figured it went through"

Yeah, you're paying the late fee on that one lol

If that was her first thought then she knew this was coming and probably had received several notices about it. You should be asking why you weren't aware of it

She works as a part tine waitress, and as a sales rep in the steel building industry part time. All she needs is one big commission. Then she runs out of money and re-fills her bank account when she needs it because she has a stack of unpaid commissions sitting in her file. Just takes one phone call.

?? I may be reading this wrong since I dont fully understand. She is out of money and needs a sale, but once she has it shell be good and can buy the car back?
or she has unpaid commission and is just not putting it in her account for some reason?

As long as we pitch in for 50% the mortgage, utilities and property tax (yes we bought a house together, no she's never been short on her half of any of those), it's otherwise "you do what you want with your money, I'll do what I want with mine"

Any "assets" you own in general can be repossessed and sold to the public...
As long as it has monetary value, it could be auctioned off in front of your house (assuming you're in massive debt or you lose your house).

In my early twenties I would have lost the car due to being massively drunk so its certainly not the worst reason Ive ever heard.
