Posting anything on Gfaqs gets people modded these days. I got modded twice this past week and I only talk about video games.

Although it is often used as a meaningless buzzword these days, it DOES in fact have an actual definition - or at least did originally. It refers basically to someone who behaves a certain way (generally online) with the sole intent of winding people up.

That last part is important - no matter how strongly you disagree or how ridiculous someone's reasoning is, they're not "trolling" if it's their genuine belief. Though of course, in some cases it's very hard to tell whether it's genuine or not... but on the flipside, it's also often used as an easy "out" (by just claiming someone is trolling rather than genuine, to avoid actually addressing anything they've said).

Also I'mma just quote my posts from your other topic, as that topic is likely to get modded as a whole whereas I don't see this one getting anything worse than closed (if that), and I really think it's something you need to take on-board:

Yes, it sucks to live with. That doesn't mean you're going to get away with calling the group - yes, even if you're part of it - "sub human", when that phrase is almost always intended as an insult, on a site that explicitly forbids insulting people on the basis of mental health.

Like... talk about your condition / experiences without pejorative statements about people who suffer from them (even yourself), and you won't get modded, I'd assume. (I will concede that it's ridiculously hard to predict exactly how mods think - just take that recent example where one said they'd act differently on someone saying "[party] is the party of racists" than "[party] is the party for racists" because of the very very subtle difference in what each wording implies - but at least in this case I can see one obvious thing that's getting you modded.)

You're not being punished for "being in the group". You're not being punished for "being angry".

You're being punished for saying that the group is "a sub-human genre of human" and similar.

If what you're intending to get at is that it makes you feel like you're sub-human, then wording that more clearly - to make it clear that you're talking about how you feel, not what people with these conditions in general are - would go a long way to helping you avoid moderation.

And, [the other user you claimed called you that] should have been modded for that, absolutely. Even without the mental health factor, it's still flaming (though the mental health factor would upgrade it to Offensive, which is a far more serious violation).

Mods aren't always consistent, but again - it's pretty clear what you got modded for, and in all honesty this topic is likely to go the same way due to you repeating it in your first post here.
