Anyone have any experience with either of these? Preferably both.

Several people I know (myself included) seem to have issues with texts sometimes not sending with AT&T. Usually hitting resend just ends in non-stop failure, but copying the text and then sending it as a brand new text seems to work. The failures happen especially in a group chat where I think everyone has Advanced Messaging turned on. Sometimes I have to turn my WiFi off just for a pic will send. Same with downloading. Although that particular issue seems to only happen when I text my mom and sister in a group chat with a pic. Doesn't seem to happen to anyone else who doesn't use Advanced Messaging.

Are there similar problems like this with Verizon? Does Verizon have an "Advanced Messaging" equivalent?

I actually didn't know that. That's...interesting. I've already started disliking AT&T recently, and that just makes me like them even less. OAN is trash and so is AT&T.

Been with Verizon for 10 years and they have always been fantastic. Service is expensive but its worth every penny.

I personally have AT&T because their prepaid plans are superior. Their prepaid plans actually have the same data priority as postpaid. Verizon has lower priority data on their prepaid network. So you get more for less on AT&T.

I've had both and they're about the same imo. I think I may get a more reliable signal with Verizon. My current phone can only do Verizon so no choice now.

My bill comes to $43 a month with unlimited text and calling. I think I only get like 2 GB of data but always use wifi and never use it.

I have AT&T and my wife has Verizon.

Texting between us seems to work just fine, but there are times where texts may be late or dropped altogether if I'm on Wi-Fi calling. Never happens on the mobile network.

It happens rarely enough that I don't really care about it. I do get better reception than she does, though.

ive been on verizon for over a decade, and although its expensive, its been very rare for me to have any issues, and the customer service has been top notch

i switched to Verizon because i started working in a kinda remote/rural area and only Verizon could reach there.

using it i found i no longer had that issue where my phone would completely drop connection in a big store.

but other than that, same experience, speeds, etc.

This is what I meant by having to turn the Wifi off to send pics. I think it only happens with Advanced Messaging turned on and going to another phone with Advanced Messaging.

I'm on a family plan with my sister and mom, and my sister coincidentally asked me what my thoughts on switching from AT&T were. >_> Looks like the only thing we really lose if we switch is HBO Max. That we got earlier this year. I only started using it a week or so ago. But I do hate that we'd lose it.

Ive had Verizon wireless for 15 years or longer. Ive never had any major network issues in the Carolinas. If you get deep in the mountains then theres sometimes trouble finding a signal. In that case, text are delayed, etc. But you have to go out in the touristy sticks to completely lose the signal.

EXCEPT - The only major issue I remember is my phone about 2 years ago just stopped making calls in South Carolina. Couldnt make a call, couldnt get a call. Id go to North Carolina and it would work fine. Turns out that they made changes to the network that prevented my older iPhone from making calls. Youd think Id get a text message or notification or something. But nope. Had to figure it out myself. No issues since I bought a new phone.

girl has att and me verizon. either my phone or service fucked it up, cause sometimes she would receive texts hours after i sent it. she also had better service than i did. when we went to st thomas, only her phone was able to get connection there.

I had Verizon for years with basically no issues at all. Recently switched to AT&T because of some deals (I was opposed to the switch but got outvoted).

AT&T is complete garbage in comparison. I'm heavily considering leaving my family plan over it.
