My wife has been hurt for years, FINALLY she's been approved for a surgery she needs
But two weeks ago she filed workers comp for a related injury at work. The workers comp doctor told her if she does any surgeries on her own the WC insurance will SUE HER! What the fuck I fucking hate America --- Suffering is expecting things to last forever ... Copied to Clipboard!

So wait, were you going to have the surgery paid for anyway, or was the plan to use WC to cover the cost? If it's the former, it shouldn't be a problem.

No we are doing the surgery totally on our own from our own insurance He said they could go after her for fraud, as she claimed to have hurt her back at work (but it was already hurt). I would ask a lawyer, tons of them deal strictly with workers comp.

Used to work in worker's comp law but I'm hella hazy on it so I can't comment on your wife's situation. That said, consultations are usually free. I'd google some lawyers around your area who are familiar with the proper laws.
