And they do that bit where they keep saying the first syllable/part of the name in different ways, putting on this whole show of trying to figure it out. It's like, just fucking pick a way to say it and say it. Who the hell would get mad at someone saying their name wrong if they've never met before?

I have a Finnish name in Sweden and most ppl dont know how to pronounce my name, I dont even correct them unless they say it totally wrong.
