As in, they get out the shower and some random guy is in their room saying hes from maintenance or whatever but he isnt but he has a room key.

So I responded, thats crazy, people dont use the latch on hotel doors and now Im the bad guy for asking?

I went into a hotel one time and saw some guy in there. I thought it was one of the workers and was getting ready to explain that I didn't check in and couldnt take any packages, but was a bit surprised when I opened the door to find a man Id never seen before, standing with a bunch of his friends in a big white room with a lot of glass cabinets filled with wine bottles. He goes, Were having a little party. Heres the list of people. We didnt want to do this in the lobby, so we just made our own list, but I can send it to you if youd like. Ill go check with the front desk and get the list and Ill be right back. Now, I was pretty damn surprised, but when I checked the front desk, I got the confirmation that the party had been cancelled at the last minute and the list was no longer valid. Very confusing.

if the party was canceled why were they in the room?

I was once at a wedding and I went back to my room to crash at like 3am. A bunch of friends wanted to fuck with me, so one of them just went to the front desk, told them he was locked out of his room (giving my room number), and could he have a replacement key. They gave it to him, no questions asked.

I was wondering the same exact thing. Turns out, it was a work night. They were supposed to leave their room around 6:45 and get to the bar by 7 PM. They were not sure exactly when the party was cancelled or for how long. At that point they went to the airport and left for home. The thing is, before leaving, they were over there for about two hours before the Uber got back with the driver.

I remember they put about five bags in the car. At 8:20, when the Uber was pulling up, they got in the car and headed to the hotel, which was around 25 minutes away. They didn't notice anything suspicious before getting into the car. At 8:32, they checked in and the driver asked for his $5 tip, which they gave him. At 8:45, they went to the room, with the driver opening the trunk. They thought it was odd that the driver never left the hotel room. That's when I showed up. It was all a really strange occurrence.

hmm still a shaky comprehension to the sequence of events but makes sense I guess
