I graduated high school in 1992.let me jump in my time machine real quick and check

Yeah. Some of the kids there were cool, regular people (I had some friends that went). But a lot of them were these socially awkward, Naruto-headband wearing weirdos that had geunibe problems.
One guy got caught masturbating in the classroom that the club was held in when he thought everyone was gone. He looked like the type who would do that tbh...
Another dude sexually assualted a girl that was also part of their club.

And to top it all off, the teacher that ran the whole thing always struck me is odd and extremely suspect. From what I could tell, he was a manchild that was always hanging out with teenagers in and outside of school, inviting them to his house and shit. He always give me the creeps.
Some years after I got out of high school, I met up with a friend -- this girl who was part of that anime club. She told me about how his wife divorced him because he was spending too much time hanging out with teenagers and wouldn't help take care of his kid. He started expressing that he liked her (my friend) sexually and tried to get with her, but she turned him down and that ended their "friendship". Then he started sending her pictures of himself laying in bed/hanging out with another girl -- who, according to my friend, was only 14 at the time -- to make her jealous.

I just remembered going "I knew it!"
If he's not a pedo, dude was 100% a groomer at the very least. From what I hear, he's still hanging out with teenagers and some people I knew back in high school.

It was in my school in the mid-00s. But my school was also like 60% asian, so maybe they were more open about it than other high schools >_>
