No. It's balanced. Just because those people can't outright attack LGBT people or minorities, that doesn't make it left-leaning. It makes those people complete assholes who shouldn't have a voice. If we see this as a problem against conservatism, then maybe that's the problem. Acceptance of people shouldn't be considered 'left'.

Most message boards of this type seem to be overwhelmingly left leaning. It's been that way for 20 years since I've been posting online.

The conservatives I know irl can't tolerate anyone disagreeing with them so they seem to congregate in specific places online where everyone thinks alike. I've even had people go as far as deleting anyone from facebook who doesn't support Trump.

What does seem to be the case is that some on the left are more eager to support authoritarian measures like compulsory vaccination (eg. to keep your job) or vaccine passports, than people on the right. A reminder that you can be pro-vaccine but not pro-vaccine passports etc.

Everyone, literally everyone is 'pro-public health' but not everyone may agree with YOU on the best balance between safety and liberty, and you can never have a perfect solution where nobody dies of anything and society also keeps functioning perfectly.

You need to sit back and think about what your words actually mean in the context of global infectious disease.

"Vaccine passports" were called "shot records" until the Right Wing paranoia machine got involved.

"Compulsory vaccination" is utterly bogus. No one is requiring you to get vaccinated. Losing your job for being unvaccinated is a condition of your employment. In fact, this exact argument has been used by Republicans to justify employer mandates of many other things.

Unlike those diseases, the Covid vaccine doesn't stop you catching it or passing it on. So it doesn't confer herd immunity. We aren't going to 'beat' Covid-19 in that sense. We will live with it like we do colds and flu.
