Eventually the effectiveness of ads will bottom out. One day soon, the annoyance of seeing an ad for a certain product will make you less likely to buy it instead of more.

Mobile Twitter is such shit. Every time I click a link there's a pop-up that tells me to use the app, and sometimes it won't even let me close out of it

Yeah, I always use my phone's mobile browser, but many sites are trying to make using the mobile browser extremely inconvenient to force people to download their ad-ridden app.

That's actually what made me come to CE!
I used imgur as my casual browsing, but users posted about the horrendous amount of trackers and cookies the app had so I kept using the mobile browser. Now you can't comment, up vote/down vote comments, favorite, or direct message people in the mobile browser so I just don't use imgur at all anymore.

This already happens to me. I make it a thing where I actively avoid products that has been shoved in my face for months.
