There aren't many good looking Asian actors and actresses living in the US, so the choices are limited, I'm sorry, but that's the truth. The best ones are all in their native countries, and most cannot speak English fluently. I always wanted Takeshi Kaneshiro to play Spike, but too late now. He ain't doing that shit.

It wouldn't be the first time that happened. Hell, many of the Disney Live Action films like Lion King are 1-to-1 to their animated counter part and still turned out shit. Hell, RDJ's Tony Stark is different from the one from the comic books and now every version of Tony Stark tries to copy his version of him.

It's highly unlikely he's the best they COULD find, but the reality is that they didn't really look. Most of Hollywood is built on image & connections, meaning there's almost definitely someone who could have been better, but doesn't have the clout, connections, or visibility to be considered.

And this may blow YOUR mind, but people over there thought the Asian actors living in the US were all ugly compared to ones in their country, and would never make it as a top actor, or actresses there. I'm sorry that the brutal truth of the harsh views of the entertainment world that's based mainly on looks, more so in Korea, Japan, and even China, must hurt you very much. In Korea, companies hire women, and men more so on their looks than their talent. If she was overweight, and there's a pretty slim girl auditioning for a News anchor next to her, bam, she's done. Of course this would cause a big fuss in the US, but in Korea, it's just another day, and nobody cares. Here's another thing to blow your mind. See all the girls on tv? Blackpink and the likes? 99% of them had some form of plastic surgery done.
