How do you feel about police officers who break the law but use their badge as a way of getting out of the consequences?

Say a cop jaywalks and starts to get a ticket but goes, "I'm a cop," flashes their badge, and gets off scott free?

How do you feel about that?

*most* of the time, if you don't break the law you probably won't get arrested. That is a fact lol, not even arguable.

But I definitely think cops should be held to the same standard as everyone else.

I jaywalk all the fucking time tbh and find it hard to believe that there are places where people actually give a shit about it

I don't know what answer you expect here, TC. People who give this flippant response to bad laws miscarriages of justice are just going to pretend this sort of thing never happens.
When you're right you're right. Best you can hope for is "of course I don't support cops violating their privilege like that" without ever espousing support for measures that would make it possible to discipline them.

When enforced sensibly, it should only apply to people who actually cause a significant traffic disruption by running out into the road, not just any non-intersection crossing.

that's like saying I should just be able to drive through every red light as long as no one is coming

I'm curious as to how they fall on this specific issue (cops being allowed to break the law if they show a badge).
I think it's important to understand who the hypocrites are and to treat them as such. If Darkprince really is a cop, like he says, it'll be interesting to hear how he justifies "rules for thee but not for me."
