makes me recall in the mid 90s when I was in kindergarten I was scolded for calling sitting cross legged Indian style because that was potentially offensive

there is literally no excuse, no defense for this woman. She absolutely should not be a teacher if she is doing this in 2021

This. I had some pretty ignorant teachers growing up but even the older ones had class and wouldn't do anything like this. I'm utterly confused at how a woman presumably in her 30s/early 40s would think this is a good idea.
