Spectre's actually pretty good until the last third of the movie, when it squanders the momentum and is SO bad that it renders the entire first two thirds forgettable.

That said, No Time to Die is a direct continuation and has the same Bond girl, so you made the right call in watching Spectre first.

I remember thinking that car chase in Rome was just so like...low octane

But still the right call to watch it

In the first hour of the movie, Bond bangs a widow of the man he killed on the same day as her husband's funeral.

And that's the "good" part of the movie.
