Nice, yeah her summoning mechanic sounds pretty cool. I'm agonizing on whether or not I should pull for her or keep waiting for the inevitable Bethlehem. I'm really bad at hoarding though. I actually pulled til I got 1 dupe of each Paloma and Nawoxel. Naroxel btw is actually amazing. She gets rid of literally the entire board's hazards. That helped me beat Spire F90 with Forest

I know everyone's focused on the new game releases, but for those still interested and playing it, PriConne got an update today. World 18 was added, and with it comes new stages to beat, new equipment to grind (here's hoping for a double drops event soon!) and a new max rank of 11-5. And whenever there's a new max rank, there's a new chart to know who to promote and who not to.

It looks like the only "absolutely do not rank this character up or she will be completely bricked and useless for a long time" character is Summer Kokkoro, since her next "optimal" rank isn't until rank 14-3, which is way off. Everyone else either should be on rank 11 no matter what or has at least one niche use where rank 11 could be useful, though some of those niches are less important. Even Makoto now finally has a niche use to move up from 9-6, though for her main purpose (debuffing bosses as much as possible) she should stay at 9-6 and that's where I'm keeping her.

For those playing Arknights, what did you think of the current story?

I thought it was pretty good, save for a few moments with Anime fight with the Inquisitors and Kal just appearing to deus ex machina at the end Fun dread, a largely great cast. I do want to see more Irene and Anita .

Did have arknights overly and needlessly verbose writing style, but it seems that's just how they do it at this point so given up being frustrated and just read the story after doing everything rather than as I do it.

Also wish those like Skadi were actually as good as they were in the lore. It makes sense with Shining and Nearl etc, as purposely holding back, but when they're meant to be "make Surtr look weak" power in lore, it'd be nice if they were remotely that >.>

Double normal drops starts after the current double grotto ends. Don't really have to hope when we know the rotation for the standard campaigns (grotto > double normal > double hard > dungeon > repeat). I think JP has been doing triple hard more often, but I don't think they've really changed the rotation beyond that.

Honestly just yeet double dungeon and acquiesce more double normals.

Double dungeon is the best for mana though, since grotto is pretty much trash unless you're starting out.

Memory shards. The kind you get from beating/farming the Hard Mode stages, buying from the various coin shops, or buying with the divine amulets you get from pulling duplicates in the gacha. They're used to either unlock a non-limited character you don't have yet (145 shards to unlock a 3-star character) or ascend a character to another star level (120 shards to go from 3 stars to 4 and 150 shards to go from 4 stars to 5).

The memory shards for Illya specifically (one of the best magic users in the game for PvP) can be acquired from 17-3 Hard, but that stage is notoriously difficult and I only just beat it after dozens of attempts. But now that I beat the stage once and did so without any of my characters dying (which was the really difficult part) I can auto-grind the stage without actually needing to play through it again and farm Illya's memory shards. And now that I can grind her memory shards, I can finally work on upgrading her star level.

I just tried it, and I guess I personally find it interesting to fight an actual group of units similar to what I'm using. I'm wondering if they're trying this out to potentially implement an actual arena system of some sort, but I'm sure you wouldn't particularly like it because it's PVP

So I'm trying the old fashioned delete > reinstall now

Also the game is pretty big so being able to use salted accounts would be a huge time saver

You're working for less than minimum wage by rerolling for Ella. You can guarantee her for $20.

I mean Ella is second priority. I was gonna buy her for $15 by doing the rewards card thing which, when I hit level 15, will give me enough gems to buy the upgrade to allow me to get her from that other thing. Akasha and Tama/Kyphon (preferably the latter) are my main targets. Hell, I would even take Nocturna if I started getting close to the end of my rerolls. But need I remind you that I'm the guy who needed to get the pity on New Jersey and Kal'tsit (took 329 rolls just to get her to drop), as well as got only one item drop on 33 blitzes of a stage in PriConne which had like a 30% drop rate :<

Shout outs to Philyshy of AS. She's just the best healer in this game. Maybe not the healiest but the entire package is just so much better and can work in both fire and water teams. I say it cuz she helped me beat the latter 2/3 fights in the hardest difficulty of the arena thing, which was legitimately difficult. Honestly the last fight felt impossible without Philyshy because the enemies are max lvled/eq and max BT

Also in Revived Witch, supposedly there's an SSR Ushpia who is the best DPS in the game. Well... the game decided to give me like 3 of her lmao. I'm seriously considering just going mixed elements, see if the lack of 15% buff affects me too much

Plus if you upgrade her passive ability it can stun enemies, at first it's kinda negligible at half a second, but a fully upgraded passive can stun an enemy for 1 second and it can stack essentially stunlocking enemies when it takes effect.

This can really turn the tide with healing and such.

Some SSRs are stronger/better then URs so don't think you need URs to have a solid account.

Yeah. I think URs win out long term because the skills tend to be better / have better scaling but if you've gotten a bunch of characters to A2 / A3 you've probably noticed how prohibitively expensive it is to max out characters, especially URs so SSRs will hold parity for a very long time.

And the Witch is technically SR tier but she's actually pretty good and uses her own materials that drop from story mode.

So far, seems like the best dolls just have the better abilities. Stats only do so much, so URs aren't strictly better. I'm sure that could change in the future, but so far, I've seen the light on some of the units.

I just beat the 4th mana stage without any A3 units, even tho the rec is A3 lvl 10



Tbf, this fight took forever, but yeah most of the fight was with my B team cuz my A team's healer is an SR and not very good. But Ushpia is definitely very comfortably the best DPS I've played with thus far. Considering what I did to beat this, I'm really seeing the potential with difficult content in this game. You do need good reaction and on-the-fly strategy

Also charge skills are pretty op. Basically they activate if you use a specific number of skills rather than using points for them, which makes their synergy with some units absolutely nutty.

You can also get away with mixed teams by simply making your main units same element and your reserve units different elements. I've tested it, and the 10% buff doesn't go away just because your A team died.

Let's hope not. There are many good gacha publishers left and Yostar is considered to be one of the few. If true then hopefully they fix and compensate.

Awakening summon rotates every 2 days I believe. When you first enter the game on the announcements you see the character rotation. I don't know if it's a repeated loop but if it is you just have to wait until the next rotation to try for anyone you may want.

Exclusive banner is going on until the 23rd I think?

And yeah, you retain any pity you've accumulated. So you can save it all up for as long as you want.

What the hell is happening in the PvP of Blue Archive Global?
The higher ranked the "player", the less team mates they use (1-3 empty Striker slots) and they mostly have garbage team levels instead of maxing them to the teacher level?
Did Nexon cheap out and make it randomly generated AI teams only?

I fought in BluArc JP so I know how tough actual players are and how vast the gap between whales and normal players is...

EDIT: Oh, now I get the empty slots, it's the game masking what characters your enemy uses to prevent you from cherry picking enemies.
Still doesn't explain the horrible teams though, definitely feels randomized.

Blue Archive is kinda like Azur Lane (I see people compare it a lot to Princess Connect in how all non-combat systems work).

You watch your characters automatically gun their way through enemies and the only thing you can do is command them to use their EX-Skills.
There are terrain advantages, covers, damage/armor types, ex-skills that let you buff / heal / tank / move the characters, so some strategy is involved.

The best part of the game are IMO the characters. They're all very cute waifus and the sense of humor really fun.

Blue Archive is like reverse Girls Frontline IMO. In GFL you can move the characters around in battle and for most of the easier stuff, you can just let them fire off their skills automatically. In BA the characters move automatically and you have to manually use/aim their skills, because the AI is dumb as bricks and will waste them.

Also, are the battles in Revived Witch sort of choppy, or is it just me? I notice it mostly when I use Kyphons first skill and she just slaughters everyone at once.
