Supposed in earths history there have been 5 mass extinction events with 70% or more of all life destroyed and another is expected in the future but who knows when, hopefully not in our lifetime, but if it does happen anytime soon I am not prepared, I dont see anyway to prepare and I dont think I would want to live on a mostly empty planet that would take millions of years to recover, just something I think about once in a while when i see a youtube video about it

Pretty sure at any point or time, an asteroid the size of kentucky could hit earth and obliterate all life on earth and no one would be aware of it's presence simply because of the very nature of how asteroids freely roam space at great speeds which makes it nearly impossible to scientists on earth to keep track of every single one of them within the visible areas of space or whatever satellites are within earth's orbit.

We're definitely not "overpopulated" at this point. But the growing population is destroying a lot of the natural world. Imo we definitely are overpopulated. It's because of human population growth or activity is what led to the extinction of various animals around the world. Human activity also led the to the destruction of various ecosystems or terrains making it impossible for life of various organisms(including plants) to live there. Right now as we speak there are like 100's of shipping containers in the pacific ocean with no where to go because of fixed human activity, that alone is probably hurting anything in the ocean... lots of pollution, aquatic creatures forced to disperse because to them large ships = giant hostile fish --- The switch needs a good demolition derby game that's all I want!!! - started Feb. 2021 ...
