Sorry for the third topic. This one hopefully will make things more clear.

Imagine that Nintendo said that this is what they're gonna do to justify the $50

1....To start off, They're now gonna release 4 Nintendo legacy(NES to gamecube era) games a week, the first of which will be released at 12am pst every tueday starting October 25th! One of which will always be an rpg. They're gonna start with Chrono Trigger, but they want the fans to pick the rest of the games.for the first week. They ask you to choose up to 3 games that you would love us to start with, and someone lucky will be selected for the 3 games. Let's also pretend that they're totally serious about this. What 3 do you pick?

2...They admit that they realize that Gabe Newell was right. Fire Sharing is more of a service problem. They're gonna add achievements to games, and they're gonna make really good matchmaking for their games as well from the now on, but they would like to know what else we could do to make subbing to NSO and play their games on it instead of file sharing. What would you recommend to them? And again, let's pretend that they're totally serious about this.

They're gonna add more, and it'll be revealed next week.

Man I dont know. Old games are old. Ive got good memories of them and theres a few gems but they mostly suck

If anything, I'd rather pay a one-time fee, not a sub or some other amount that'll be repeated again in a few years, to have permanent access to a game, no matter how any generations of systems may pass. Since this is not an option with Nintendo's digital libraries, this is a pass.

I came into this topic thinking inflation really hit the $5 foot long.

We already have the solution for this type of thing and it's called emulation. Without emulation many games would be lost to the world, and as NES carts start to degrade emulation will play an even more important role.
