After watching Ted Lasso I want to give this whole soccer AHEM I mean football thing a shot, and since America are the irrelevant jobbers in this sport I cant just pick my local team like I can with NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL.

if you want to follow the same team for a while, stick to one of the long-term top-flight teams. relegation isn't fun. also, don't listen to post #2. spurs will break your heart every time.

I've always wondered this. I've looked it up and most people either bandwagon or pick the team that most fits their personal vibe or the vibe of their favorite team.

Honestly if I didnt have the arbitrary reason of Liverpool having the same owner as my Boston Red Sox, I probably wouldve just picked whoever has the coolest logo and colors, and Liverpool is my favorite in that regard too. Are there North American players in the PL? I picked Burnley because the New Zealander Chris Wood plays for them. Though my dad is a Crystal Palace supporter.
