Ads, probably. Generally, a legal streaming service that has no subscription fee is supported by ad revenue.

I watched Texas Chain Saw Massacre for the first time on Tubi last month. I was a bit caught off-guard when an ad popped up, but it didn't diminish my enjoyment of the film. They were used sparingly and, more importantly, the film itself remained unedited.

I should check to see if there are any other movies worth watching while it's still Halloween season.

I watched a few Rudy Ray Moore movies on it and the commercials didn't seem that bad. I started using the free version Peacock and those commercials aren't as bad as Tubi tho. So, I guess it's perspective. Everything else ai use is commercial free. But I don't mind phone breaks.

They are about every 10 to 15 minutes.

Dang

How long per ad? Just a quick 15 or 30 seconds? Or more like a TV ad break?

Nothing offered is 1080p.

Most are 720p and even as low as 640p for higher than SD content.

It's still quite viewable though but the streaming quality is less than premium services.

the ads are the catch, but they aren't really all that bad, at least for a show. it feels like regular tv.

they also have more shows in foreign languages than i was able to find on prime or netflix. that's pretty legit.

i went in completely doubtful and i was actually surprised. it's a good free service.

The ads really arent that long. Network TV has ads and you have to pay for it. Tubi has a bunch of interesting movies.

Their original movies have the ads every 5-7 minutes, but the licensed stuff have them more spaced out, and Ive gotten through a few of the older offerings with only a pre-roll ad.

It's good and can find a lot of good stuff on there. Sometimes stuff that isn't available on any other streaming service.

Tell me where else I can watch ALF for free legally?

Tubi is awesome, like others have said.

Generally, I think you got like one ad break in the middle of a standard half hour show, and it's only like 90 seconds.

And that's with a free account. Not like fucking Hulu where you pay to keep seeing ads

I have used it for the Flintstones. Maybe 90-120 seconds of ads. Seems a fair trade. Haven't explored much beyond that but I do love me some Dolomite. May explore further if his shit is on there.

Also, FWIW they have a shit ton of Hasbro properties on Tubi. So stuff like Transformers, GI Joe, Beast Wars, etc... is all on there. Every single one of the different versions of those shows. (Even the weird GI Joe 4kids anime lol)
