Even moreso than SO2, it works best if you turn your brain off and just focus on 100 percenting the maps and getting high ranks on the battles. I had a blast playing it at the time. I do think Symphonia is probably better overall, but there's a case to be made that SO3 has a better battle system and is therefore more fun. The invention and inventor system was nice...save for the Persona Fusion skill grab BS random money shit. SO3 was like Breath of Fire 3. Good at a lot of things, but no one is saying it is JRPG royalty.
