It's funny when it happens to others until you get cancelled for something you said when you were 13 that you did not even remember.

Celebrities usually have big followings so it's harder to cancel them as they have loyal fans. People can easily get canceled if they are at the beginning of their carreer.

The brain being fully developed at APPROXIMATELY 25(it varies from one person than another) doesn't mean you cannot take adult decisions until that age. By that logic, people over 35 are vulnerable elders due to the fact that the brain and the body start to decline after 30 sadly

Having a maximum age of consent would be probably a good idea as people getting kids while they are old increases their risks of birth defect and I think elder grooming can also happen ^_^

In 1880, the ages of consent were set at 10 or 12 in most states, with the exception of Delaware where it was 7.

The science never said you are unable to make adult decisions until you are 25. It just said you are more likely to make a decision based on emotions before that.

I mean you are giving examples out of kids that did not reach puberty compared to people who stopped growing. To an extent I migh understand why some people might think 21 might be more reasonable, but 25 is just stupid, you don't need a fully developed pre frontal cortex to start making decisions, you don't magically become a new person the moment you turn 25 and infantilizing people in their early 20s will just make them vulnerable 25 years old.

Before the 17th century there wasnt even a concept of childhood, what we consider children today were introduced to adulthood at an early age through labor and sexual exploitation.

It's hilarious how people keep trying to rebrand cancel culture as accountability culture and it keeps failing to catch on.

Damn near everyone is aware that cancel culture is when a mob of Twitter people go after you and that may or may not overlap with a fair sense of morality.

It's also weird how people try to imply cancel culture means a person isn't being held accountable.

Just admit that cancel culture is real and that it often goes after the correct people, but it can sometimes be problematic. How hard is it for people to just admit that?
