Apparently youre supposed to use some variation of a car seat from birth until like 12 years old (~5ft, ~100lbs). Wtf? I dont remember ever sitting in a booster seat growing up.

Better safety regulations than in the past. That's all. In my state, it's booster seat until 8 years old or they reach 4'9" in height. The weight requirement was removed.

Statistically its shown car seats arent much better than just a seat belt once you can fit in the seat.
