What an unforgettable experience. Easily one of my top 5 or even top 3 favourite games of all time now. When viewed in context of the the entire Trails series. I'm glad I waited for the Geofront translation. It was basically perfect.

It kept the twists coming right until the end. I had thought that the "flash forward" at the start of Trails to Zero was kinda meaningless. I did notice that Joshua and Estelle were missing, but I didn't think much of it other than maybe they were trying to hide their involvement due to not spoil the story later, and being a dream it was alright. Never expected it to be the last twist thrown at me.

I don't understand Mariabelle's motive though. It seemed like she didn't care at all that her plan was foiled. Orobourous didn't care once the Azure Tree was created. Actually, they stopped caring as soon as KeA turned into the Sept-Terrion and only stuck around out of curiosity or as a favour to KeA. I assume it will be explained in the Cold Steel arc, but right now it's all just a giant mystery. What were we fighting fooooorrrr

Did the credits just spoil some later phase of Cold Steel? Seemed like it gave a very vrief flashforward through some events. Erebonia invades crossbell, the SSS fights against them, Arios helps them out, Shirley joins Oroborous, Wald sticks with Wazy. In the end everyone reunites in a seemingly free Crossbell. I'm aware the Crossbell games happen at the same time as a few of the Cold Steel games, so that credits sequence must have spoiled something. Well, spoiled being the wrong word, but shown an early conclusion of.

Sometimes the NPC chats got a bit much, but I'm glad I did it all, so I finished the game with no regrets unlike the Sky trilogy

I was expecting some final scenes with the SSS + KeA, or Oroborous + The Grandmaster, but I guess not

What the hell is all this shit I seemingly missed? What? I made sure to do all content at all phases in the game and I was sure I missed nothing, what the hell

That arios was the one who killed guy. Imo it really should be him instead of pouring the blame on grimwood.

Otherwise the game is fantastic, just it looks like they hold the impact with arios back qnd dont want him to commit murder

I think it would have been huge if Cecil was the killer and was involved with the project. I feel like Guy shouldnt have let his guard down around Grimwood, but it would have made sense to let his guard down around Cecil

Grimwood should have died tbh

I love this arc the best out of all the Trails arcs. Just adored these two games that I was able to play this year thanks to the wonderful, hardworking folks at the Geofront

I'd donate to them if they accepted it. I've finished both qames but I'll be buying them on steam once they are out

also, I wonder if theres any final bosses in the series that are human. Everything so far has been giant monsters or in one case a giant robot

Been a year since I beat Azure, but didn't Grimwood shoot and kill Guy? Arios just dueled Guy to a standstill and couldn't probably wouldn't kill Guy.

I dont know. This series is off the rails and the writing keeps going up and down. Have you played the Cold Steel games yet?

It nosedives in my opinion. Still some great games with lots of world building as usual, but it just gets silly

Cold Steel has its ups and downs. Personally got a bit bored a lot of times in CS unlike the previous games. Though I also did get kinda bored in Sky 3 as well. Though the reunion parts in CS3 and 4 really make up for it.

Cold Steel writing being bad is debatable but the writing overall definitely isn't as good as the Sky or Crossbell games
