Alot of the times Conservative humor is always pretty mean spirited, not to say Liberals aren't guilty of it but there seems to be more diversity in what liberals will joke about than conservatives.

Gutfeld is actually the perfect example of how bad conservative comedy truly is. Before Trump he had Redeye where he wasn't anywhere near as far right as he is now and at times was actually funny. Then he realized that pandering to the far right is where the money's at

Believe it or not, it's not just "conservatives bad", it also goes quite deep into the history of comedy and conservative comedy, and how the current moment was the perfect storm to make conservative comedy terrible.

Progressive and conservative comedy is terrible. The best comedy is where nothing is sacred, anyone can be a target, and everyone can laugh at others.

I mean conservative based comedy can definitely be funny. There's more than a few skits mocking bleeding hearts that are worth laughs. And some of the best conservative-critism comedy/ observations I've heard came from conservatives themselves.

The problem with the ones pushed by right Twitter and fox is it usually boils down to "right wing talking points told as jokes". It's clearly just political punditry, but with a laugh track. They have an agenda, and making you laugh isn't it (unless it's lol those silly liebrals)

I do know enough to know that the video isn't intended for me. I watched the first few minutes, and his attitude was clearly aimed at people who agree with him.

He's not making an argument trying to convince me that conservatives aren't funny-- he's making an educational video to tell you that popular conservative comedians aren't funny. As if it's a fact.

I'm not sitting through an hour plus of a guy's personal opinion.

Tbf, any humor with political bias has hit a wall. A lot of humor is ruined by trying to understand the message before the joke. Especially because a lot of the time, there wasn't even suppose to a political message. It was just somebody saying whatever the funniest angle they could think of was. This is why the internet sucks all the fun out of certain humor. It's just people projecting, overexplaining and stepping all over jokes by discussing their feelings. Which is fine to do in moderation, but not when it's impossible to have a conversation without people trying to grab the wheel and steer it towards politics in every god damn topic.

Well, I watched the 6 or so minute bit starting at 49:34 entitled Conservatives Are Funny. I laughed at the conservative jokes portrayed in that segment and it sounds (TC can correct me if Im wrong) like it might be getting at the gist of the entire video, if youd like to check those few minutes out.
