TFA is the *better sequel*

Easily the PT, an actual story that has been thought out, a great 3rd film, amazing world building, and epic set pieces.

And you also know hes one of those people who acted like the prequels were the biggest sin against humanity when those came out but then suddenly decided that theyre good.

I keep making unbiased topics regarding the series, yet someone like you always assumes I'm taking a side. 1) I'm starting to think you're the same person with different accounts making the same complaint in every discussion I create and 2) I think you're the one being insecure because you're projecting those assumptions about me that aren't true.

Prequel had some decent ideas it was all just executed really poorly.

Sequels have nothing except fancy effects. Ep 7 is a remake of ep 4, Ep 8 is completely forgettable, and Ep 9 I wish I could forget.

This is another weird complaint. First off all, I change up the poll every time. Secondly, why would it matter if I create a topic like this every so often? There are general threads and repeat gimmick topics everywhere. I highly doubt a recurring star wars topic is that weird.

Once people take the nostalgia binders off, it's very easily the sequel trilogy.

Force Awakens is miles better than everything else here though.

I liked parts of TPM, felt AotC was so-bad-its-good at first but eventually just hated it, and despised RotS.

I liked TFA, liked parts of TLJ, and felt TRoS was so-bad-its-good at first but eventually just hated it.

So I guess it's the ST by default.

Between those options, sequel trilogy wins.

2 < 8

3 > 9

On average, sequels are better, but episode 9 was pretty underwhelming. Had some great moments, and Adam Driver is still fucking amazing. I think Kylo Ren is portrayed the way Anakin should have been. Conflicted, enraged, petulant, extremely powerful.

We're told in episode 3 that Anakin is extremely powerful with the force, but we don't really see him being any more capable than any other Jedi with screen time. It's all the same acrobatics and choreography as any other saber/force user.

Meanwhile, Kylo Ren just feels raw and aggressive. His saber swings are like a damn claymore. He overpowers opponents with brutality and uses the force to great effect in strategic moments.

The story of the prequels is awesome if you look at the overall plot, but the actual dialogue, pacing, and execution leave a lot to be desired. And the acting is severely hit or miss. Emotional moments are basically just memes in the prequels.

I recognize it from the deleted scenes, IIRC. Padme wears it when discussing a possible rebellion with other Senate members.

Duel of the Fates is enough for Prequels to be better by itself, I literally can't remember any original music piece from the ST.

Sequels. They were entertaining. Some dumb stuff but I don't feel anything that ruins the trilogy. The prequels were stupid. They didn't even have the same feel as the classic trilogy. Which the sequels do. Prequels were more political

And by that I don't mean real world politics. I mean literally politics in the story

Of the six films in question literally the only good one is Force Awakens, so I guess the sequels win by default.

Both are crap, which unfortunately also tarnishes the original trilogy to the point of making it unenjoyable as well.

When it comes to Star Wars, the movies are the worst parts of the entire franchise.

I enjoyed the prequel trilogy but the sequels were trash. The whole plot was connected by a series of increasingly dubious asspulls that even the healthy suspension of disbelief that comes with watching Star Wars couldn't entirely mitigate.

Rogue One and Solo were both fine so not just hating on Disney or being an oldhead.

Sequel had some of the best moments in some star wars and some of the worst.

Prequel is like 4/10 the entire way through save for a few high spikes in Revenge of the Sith. But it's still mostly garbage. People like them through a combo of nostalgia and Clone Wars presenting the characters with better writing. But the characters as presented in the prequels themselves were still just awful. Apart from Palpatine of course.

I think a lot of people will pick prequel because of nostalgia from seeing those as a little kid.

I was grown during both and the prequels are mostly garbage. People seem to like Revenge of the Sith the most and that's the one I hate the most.

Prequel honestly should be way better, since its focused around young Vaderwho is easily the most interesting Star Wars entity.

But its obviously the sequel movies. Theyre just way better. And have the much better acting teams as well.

Even Revenge of the Sith has plenty of cringe in it.
