Does a specific race of human beings really fit in the set of professional sports mascots with Tigers, Lions, Marlins, and so on? Kind of a bad look. Whether they mean it to or not, there's an equivalency implied there. Should go back to the somewhat older practice of picking some local flair as your mascot.
