I just continued where I left off from about a year ago. Why the he'll did I stop watching with season 3 episode 10? How did I stop on such a cliffhanger and not continue on with the Show? Just seems like a strange place to forget about the show.

How does one forget about a show in the middle of the fight the series was building up to from the beginning?

Asui and Mineta are paired up a lot in scenes, I didn't take them to be friends lol

I knew it. All Might was a Quirkless too. I'm really liking the bond developing between All Might and Deku. Great senpai-kohai vibe.

Iida vs Todoroki. I was thinking that Todo could easily beat him by icing his engines, and lo and behold he does exactly that.

Ouch. Well, the villain lives up to his name.

I kinda feel the opposite, I felt like the supporting cast was way too big and the author had trouble keeping some of the original mains at all relevant as powerscaling went on. It's probably been several seasons since I stopped watching at this point though

In the manga this is kinda true.

Anime is still doing surprisingly good keeping most relevant, even if it's starting to show how it splits here and there.

Although tbf we haven't seen all the side cast, especially the students, very much until recently in the manga.

That's what I've been noticing. I think that's this show's greatest strength so far.

As for the Naruto comparisons, I don't see it. I was never a big Naruto fan anyway. I think it came out when I was getting tired of shonen so I never fully got into it, same with One Piece. I did watch Bleach for a time tho.

There are some surface-level things in common with Naruto. Mostly the aspect of there being a "Hero (or Ninja) School" and having the rookies put into teams under a more experienced Hero/Ninja. Even if I grant you a comparison of Archetypes, which most media relies on the execution of those archetypes matter. Naruto's main cast sucks. They fail making the characters interesting.

MHA has much more interesting characters. Being comparable on the surface doesn't mean it's the same.

My Hero's characters are all fun and likeable, mostly thanks to really good design sense. Outside of Mineta, I'm a fan of everyone in Deku's class.

There's hardly any similarities between it and Naruto unless you're just talking about standard character archetypes and common tropes which basically all shonen share. I mean, you compare Uraraka to Sakura and Hinata just because they're lead girls/love interests, despite them having almost no similarities.

Jujutsu Kaisen has more in common with Naruto than My Hero does, and even then it's only because of how the main team is designed and set up.

Basically, yeah. The only true likeness shared between MHA and Naruto is typical shonen stuff. It's a genre thing, not a rip-off thing, for sure. MHA has a ton of stuff that makes it unique compared to a lot of other shows of the same type.

This was an immersive episode, so I didn't have much commentary for it since I was watching and didn't want to break the atmosphere. It's definitely gotten darker. Both figuratively and literally since it takes place at nighttime haha.

I did find it funny how anime/manga characters just knowing their blood type off hand actually became a plot point.
