so I moved back in with some family but the wifi fucking suuuucks. They don't want to upgrade or change anything so I want to pay for my own internet. Is it possible to have multiple internet connections in a single home or does there need to be fancy rewiring and shit done?

same, i bootstrap on the landlords wifi. We tried to get my own Innynet in my apartment but that'd require drilling thru the concrete and they said no.
what makes matters worse is he's insinuated he monitors my traffic """for fun""". --- #BladeGang ... Copied to Clipboard!

From the same company, eh, may be a bit of a hassle but can be done. Just think of apartment buildings where they have 34 people with Company A and 62 people with Company B. --- #BladeGang ... You can have multiple accounts/connections off the same cable provider and even off the same lines unless the signal is already weak.
Do you live in an apartment or a single family home? If you live in a single family home, do you know if the cable lines connect in a box outside or do you have a 'structured wiring panel' inside the home? (usually this is inside the laundry room or master bedroom closet built into the wall and often has a door/box, or just a plastic wall plate style covering). --- Posted from my iPhone 13 ... Yes, it's possible. You can usually have a second cable modem installed with the same company, but they will probably charge for installation. They might also have fiber.
You can also see if they have T-Mobile Home internet or similar alternatives, which are wireless, but get good speeds in many areas. Unless you absolutely need a wired connection. --- "Fear cuts deeper than swords." ... Copied to Clipboard!
