Good stuff right here. This is how you help the working class. Rich people are already avoiding taxes on such items. My girlfriends parents own a business and they use their business account to avoid tax on groceries. Shit happens all the time.

I dont think theres trouble funding I think theres trouble allocating the funds. Johnson County has no problem funding anything.

I know here in New York, there's not tax on certain foods that are considered necessities.

I've already seen a couple of Republicans bringing up a lack of revenue as why the state struggles to fund a lot of services. Of course a lot of the reasons we have these problems is leftover from Brownback's "tax experiment", but they won't bring that up.

You're not wrong, but the last couple of times Dems tried to get rid of the sales tax groceries it's been shot down. It's definitely more popular now that supply chain issues are driving up prices, hopefully that nudges some of the moderates to break party lines.

Also if they legalize marijuana those counties in western Kansas will lose seizure revenue, even if the urban republican's were on board you'll never get anyone west of 183 to vote for it.

Ya last I heard all they were legalizing was tinctures and edibles for medical. Because smoking is still bad for your health or some bullshit. They need to cut the bs out and just outright legalize it but I think it will be a while before that happens.

Ya the stigma here in rural Kansas is that marijuana is the devil but drinking a 30 box is fine
