This game is similar to Star Fox 64 in that the overall plot and characterization is lackluster but the actual dialog writing is really good, for the purpose of being funny and memorable. --- I'm playing every game from GotD 2020! I think it's perfect for what it is. A plot so cliche yet it has immense fun with its premise and characters. It's like a blockbuster version of an NES plot. Yet I also love how strangely political it is, and the mysteries and ambient horror storytellings lurking on the edges of the main plot. --- I've decided to put my fears behind me. This is my favorite game of all time, but I'm currently watching an LP and my god I never noticed how stupid the bad guys are. Also Ashley. TBH I feel like the vast majority of video game plots exist only to give explanation for why you're going from point A to point B and I rate them as such.
