My niece was over and we did this with garbage bags to see how easy it was to get out of it. I'm a good Uncle.

She figured it out. It stretches without breaking when you stab into it, so you use your teeth to make the area just big enough for your finger to fit through so as the bag stretches it loses it's integrity faster and breaks even with the stretching.

I mean if the script dictates that they die from suffocation from a plastic bag, the actors don't exactly have a choice but to follow it.

You just unintentionally came up with a funny bit. It's probably already been done, but if you were doing action movie scenes and the actor kept trying to legitimately get out of everything and not completely understanding why he wasn't suppose to. Just poking holes in all the action scenes through his ignorance to understand they were just trying to make a movie.
