A school board in Oregon recently banned teachers from displaying symbols in the classroom including gay pride and BLM and now the conservative majority board voted to FIRE its superintendent for failing to abide by the policy!!

In a close vote of 4-3, Joe Morelock was fired over ZOOM as the conservatives sealed his fate and REFUSED to comment on their vote rather than to vote to fire him and not say why.

Liberal board member, Rebecca Piros one of the 3 who opposed the firing sobbed uncontrollably and said she was so sorry to see this happen and disappointment in the vote

He was paid more than 260,000 a year and said at the final zoom meeting "Just remember that from the darkest dark comes the brightest light, so everything will work out eventually" which caused Piros to break down in tears

Some residents of the 23,000 small town put up signs quoting his reply to Piros

Newberg Equity in Education, a group composed mostly of parents who oppose the school board's recent conservative title planned a demonstration

This comes as schools nationwide have become ideological battlegrounds over vaccine and mask mandates, transgender bathrooms and CRT

Conservatives say CRT teaches white kids as oppressors or victims depending on their skin colour and have used it as a political tool to rile up parents

Board member, Brandy Penner said she believes the conservative board fired him because he didn't implement their ban on controversial political suymbols adding it doesnt state what symbols are unacceptable after it banned political, controversial or quasi-political symbols including lgbt flags and blm flags

The superintendent's advisory cabinet quickly objected to the firing in the middle of the school year who described Morelock as a tireless advocate for schools even during a financial difficulty year when staff were being laid off

The teacher's union denounced the firing and has filed a lasuit over policy passed by the school board members

The school board members comprised of Dave Brown, Brandy Penner, Ines Pena, Brian Shannon, Renee Powell, Trevor DeHart, Rebecca Piros
