That depends a lot on what you want it to do. The M1 Macbooks are pretty much unrivaled when it comes to their combination of size, power, battery life, noise levels, and low temperatures. And if you need to do certain types of professional work like photo or video editing the new Macbook Pros outclass even most desktop computers.
But they can't run Windows natively, only the ARM version of Windows through a virtual machine. I definitely wouldn't buy one if gaming is a major priority. And you also need to check and make sure all the programs you want to run will work on it. While the new Macbooks have excellent x86 emulation, not every program works perfectly. --- 17 years on Gamefaqs, and I still don't have a signature. ... Copied to Clipboard!

If you are then I'd say you won't find a better computer, especially at its price range. --- 17 years on Gamefaqs, and I still don't have a signature. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Chances are you do not need top-of-the-line, and will save yourself A LOT of money by aiming a little bit lower.
Further to this, if you genuinely do need top-of-the-line, you'd either already know what it is, or have a better source of advice than CE for finding out. --- Some Trumbles (quotes, less than/greater than signs, ampersands) take up more space than they would appear to, as they must be converted to HTML. ...
