I only ever played the 3rd one via the original game on launch. I've heard that there was modifications and DLCs to make the ending better, but never tried it. So... how's the new ending now; is it any better, or is it still just a color filter?

Well the new ending(refuse) is worse as it's basically a middle finger to anyone who rightfully shat on the original 3 endings. The other endings got some new scenes which don't amount to much imo. Yes it's still a choice of your favorite color between red/blue/green.

You still only get the Extended Cut.
The outcomes do differ beyond red/green/blue however I think beyond minor character differences the scenes aren't much affected by how you played the games themselves besides ME3's major plot points. --- The name is wackyteen for a reason. Never doubt. ... Copied to Clipboard!
